Greek Frappe Coffee Recipe

Greek Frappe Coffee brings your summer!

Even if your summer holiday still seems so far away, you can treat yourself to a little refreshment right here in the comfort of your own home!

When the temperatures are soaring and it’s getting unbearable in your own four walls, Frappe is sure to chill you and at the same time give your taste buds an experience they will never forget.

Whether you are sitting in the kitchen at the breakfast table or watching the sunset on your Balcony, once you´ve had a traditional Greek frappe you will never go anywhere in the heat without a glass in your hand.
There are hardly any Greeks who do not sit in the street café with friends every day during the hot season and sip on an iced cold Frappe.
You can drink it either with or without milk.

There are different ways to prepare it:

  •  "sketo" - without sugar
  •  "metrio" - 1 coffee spoon sugar
  •  "gliko" - 2 coffee spoon sugar or more
  •  "me Paroto " - the absolute connoisseurs order with vanilla ice cream

Just try it yourself!

Super easy to do and unbelievably delicious!


Greek Frappe Coffee Recipe:

  • Add 1 TB of 'Nektar' Frappe Instant Coffee powder to a frappe glass or cup.
  • Next comes the sugar. If you do not like sugar, just continue with next step.
  • Add 10 to 15 ml of water, that is about two fingers wide in the glass.
  • Now froth up the ingredients with a powerful hand milk frother, pulling the resulting foam slowly and steadily upwards.
  • Next add the ice cubes, then add a serving of cold water (optionally also milk). Stir gently with a straw so that the foam rises further. Add more water or milk until the foam is up.
