Flower look, orange color, and fruity aromas feature these elegant ladies of wild mushrooms. Dried chanterelles are very aromatic and some chefs prefer to cook with them instead of fresh morels. As mushrooms contain on average from 80% to 90% water, drying them removes the water, resulting in a taste concentration.

Their color is due to the b-carotene they contain.
Try the liqueur on the back of the box will amaze you.

DRIED MUSHROOMS PREPARATION TIPS

  1. Fill the vase with warm water or, alternatively, broth, cognac or wine.
  2. Once soft, drain them by pressing softly with your fingers in order to get a few fluids.
  3. Saute the slices on low heat in olive oil or butter for 1 minute on each side. Αdd a little wine at the end of the cooking .
  4. Add salt and pepper.

 Do not throw the broth away because it is full of flavor. The liquid from the wild mushrooms needs a light scuff. The hydrated mushrooms can be kept in the fridge for up to 5 days.
